A Perfect Political System

In a Perfect Political System, both sides are equally represented.

Both sides? So ... a Perfect Political System has two parties?

That's right. The War Party and the Peace Party.

A War Party? A Peace Party? Do you mean to say that even in a perfect political system, there are wars?

Oh, yes! In a Perfect Political System, there is always a war.

But the people don't always want a war, do they?

Oh, no. The people never want a war. That's why we have two parties.

Does one of the parties want to end the war?

No. Both parties want to end the war.

Both parties want to end the war, but there is always a war. How does that work?

Aha. Here's the rub:
  • the Peace Party wants to end the war next year
  • the War Party wants to end the war the year after next
So everybody wants to end the war, but the war still goes on?

Right! That's what makes it a Perfect Political System!
